Brooks Brothers is doing 40% off shirts if you buy four, and today through the 27th they’re giving an additional 15% off. And it includes their classic $140 OCBD.
If you can swing the high initial investment, that brings their OCBD down from $140 to $71.40 apiece.
I just got a standard blue OCBD from Brooks Brothers during one of their pre-Christmas sales, and have been absolutely loving it. The unlined collar, cuffs and placket and lack of front pocket are the big story here, and it’s those details that make it. It feels uncomplicated and almost basic, but well considered and stylish. My old Brooks OCBDs with the collar lining and pocket feel clunky by comparison.
I personally go for the dress shirt version to dial in fit, but their sport shirts are also part of the promo. I like the wide stripe one in particular.
My top choices are the standard blue (it’s a bit dull and grayish but those qualities also make it an excellent choice to pair with tweed, ancient madder and to be worn on its own), white, light blue (which dressed up a bit better than the standard blue) and the ground stripe. There’s one in navy from last season on sale for $85 (with this initial extra 15% promo period) that I have been resisting for a while now.
