Pitti Uomo comes twice a year, January and June, in Florence, Italy, and every time, like everyone else who isn’t totally jaded, I enjoy seeing all the street style photos and vendor coverage (such as from British GQ, US GQ, and The Satorialist, who did street style photography at Pitti before anyone else). The last several years, Styleforum has been sending people to be there for all of us who wish we were there, could see what’s happening. (One of the best early interviews with Antonio Ciongoli, from Eidos’ first year on the market—and before Ciongoli decided to stop showing at Pitti after their second or third time there—was on Styleforum by David Isle in three parts: 1, 2, 3.)
Anyway, this year, Peter Zottolo (who goes by Urbancomposition on Instagram and elsewhere) went, and produced by far the most entertaining daily coverage of Pitti yet. The Instagram stories he recorded on Styleforum’s account really made me feel like I was there—or rather, really jealous I wasn’t.
Now that Pitti is over for another six months, relive the fun—they’ve archived the entirety of what Peter recorded as story highlights on their profile page.
