When I’m at Pitti, I feel pulled in 100 different directions at once. I’m there to shoot street style, shoot portraits, talk to vendors, do Instagram interviews, network, visit vendors/shops not at the fair, meet friends old and new, shoot watches, and enjoy myself a little bit. At any given moment no matter what I’m doing, I feel like I should be doing something else because there’s always another street style shot you could get, or another watch pic, or another person to meet.
I bring this up because I wonder if people feel like I’m easily distracted, like when I’ll randomly and urgently ask, “Are you wearing a watch?” followed by, “Do you mind if I take a picture of it?”
Thankfully everybody at Pitti is kind, jovial and inclusive, so most are happy to oblige.
I wasn’t aiming for diversity of what I shot, just trying to take pics of what was on the wrist of people I interacted with.
Here are the photos I shot of the watches I encountered while talking to people during Pitti 103.
