From Put This On—”Dressing the Man”

A couple months ago, Derek Guy asked me if he could feature me for an article he was working on for Put This On. The piece was going to be about developing personal style, highlighting me and another guy named Marco whose way of dressing Derek admires, to discuss the topic from our individual points of view. What makes the article interesting is that how we dress is very divergent. Me in softly tailored sportcoats and button-up shirts, him in … a bunch of various things LOL.

Anyway, the piece was just published yesterday, so go check it out. I really appreciated seeing Marco’s style and reading his perspective. His personal hijinks—motorcycling, dancing, but especially the motorcycling—appeal to me. It really made me want a motorcycle, something I’ve long considered but have been forbidden from getting into by my wife (and strongly discouraged from getting into by my dad, on whose motorcycle is this cute picture of me as a baby). And while it feels like a lifetime ago, when I was in my early 20s, I got into dancing too.
