Getting Excited About Ties

A friend and coworker shared a photo with me recently—a still from a video taken several years ago, when my hair was at its longest. We laughed about it, but what I noticed was that I was wearing a tie! I posited to him that perhaps the reason my hair didn’t raise more eyebrows at work was because at that time, I was dressing more formally more often—suits during the week and ties almost every day.

I basically never do either anymore.

But ties still get me pumped. The allure of the tweed jacket and ancient madder tie, a repp tie with navy blazer, a shantung silk with tobacco linen suit—it never dies for me.

So it is that I present a bunch of ties this season that I’m digging.
