I scrolled back through the archive recently and was reminded of some posts I enjoyed seeing again. So I thought perhaps you might enjoy having them resurfaced to either read for the first time, or be reminded of like me. So, in case you missed it, here are a few things from the archive:

My Pitti Uomo 97 (January 2020) coverage:

Pitti Uomo 98 was canceled this summer. Originally slated for mid-June (right about now), COVID19 caused them to reschedule for September. But they’ve officially canceled summer 2020 Pitti, given the ongoing travel difficulties. In honor of that, revisiting my trip to Firenze in January felt appropriate, though whether you enjoy looking at guys wearing tweed, flannel and overcoats when it’s 90°F outside depends on your overall menswear outlook. I posted a few things, actually. Check them out here:

Learning to Use Color and Contrast

A friend of mine recently told me I should write more basic, beginner-level articles for guys like him, who want to upgrade their wardrobe but aren’t immersed in the world of menswear online. Some of those types of articles are so well covered by other blogs, like Put This On, I’d feel redundant unless I have a personal, specific spin on it. In this case, there are lots of articles about using the color wheel to learn to match colors, but I’d never seen any discuss concepts of saturation and brightness, at least specifically by name. I’ve gotten many compliments on this post for being very helpful, so in case you missed it or need a refresher, scope out how to use color and contrast in your outfits here.

A Plug for my eBook

Speaking of beginner level content, my eBook covers a lot of ground in that category. Starting with cultivating the right mindset about how to dress, then moving into making smart purchases for specific categories of tailored menswear, it represents my outlook on dressing well, which is all about looking and feeling cool while maximizing your spending. But don’t take my word for it, read what others have to say about it on the product description here. If you like what you read, it’s only $5.
