Pitti Uomo in Florence is a wild time of thousands of people doing their best to stand out all at once in the same place.
Spotting the killer fit among the crowd can, at some moments, be like finding a needle in a haystack, but at other moments like choosing your favorite dessert from a table full of all your favorites.
Shooting street style photos in Florence is so much fun, because the city is beautiful, the light is almost always incredible, and during Pitti there are so many cool clothes. It’s inspiring.
As always, my goal when shooting is to capture fits that in some way caught my eye as a form of inspiration. Sometimes it’s the full fit, sometimes it’s just the way an accessory is used, sometimes it’s the unexpected shoes. Sometimes, it’s just the light :)
Enjoy!
I really enjoyed your Pitti coverage on Instagram, but it’s nice to have an extensive gallery of street style here in one place to take refer back to whenever I need some outfit ideas. I see some of the blokes you interviewed pictured here as well. I know this is only a small slice of attendees represented but it’s very interesting to try to pick out some themes or trends. For instance, I never see anyone wearing suede shoes where I live, but they seems to be heavily favored at Pitti. And hopefully other folks were taking photos of Gus too – he’s very well dressed!
Glad you liked it.
I’m all suede shoe all the time!
