Spier & Mackay launched a range of VBC fresco trousers today for the warmer months.
Fresco is a type of wool fabric that uses high-twist yarn in an open weave, so it’s durable and breathable. For a professional business wardrobe in the warmer months, it’s my top choice.
I prefer the contemporary fit trousers Spier makes for their higher rise and straighter silhouette (I take a size down in the waist to get the fit I like). But the slim fit cuts a good silhouette, too (I take my normal dress trouser size in those).
I have a pair, bought last summer, in light gray, and can’t recommend them enough. The top three colors I would get if I were filling out a warm weather wardrobe are light gray (goes with every color jacket), heather blue (would look good with dark navy jackets, brown and tan jackets) and light brown (would look good with navy or tan jackets).
