Sale Alert: Randolph Engineering Sunglasses for $99

Randolph sunglasses are known for being high quality, as well as for not being owned by Luxxotica like nearly every other eyewear brand. They posted a handful of past-season frames for sale for $99, and they’re worth checking out if you’re looking to buy a pair of aviators.

I personally picked up a pair of the discontinued “Crew Chief,” which has a more teardrop shape than their standard Concorde aviator, which has that much stronger triangular shape (like the Ray-Ban).

Or, use the code SUNNY25 for $25 off site-wide if you want to get their classic square aviators, like what Don Draper wore in Mad Men. I love that style of aviator, but it does not look cool on my face, sadly.

Check out the selection of frames for $99 here.

I’m not a huge Suit Supply customer—I own one jacket of theirs, a full-canvas model in a blue…

  1. Man, I wish I could jump on that sale, but I have to be responsible with our limited funds now that we’re temporarily back to a single income family. However, I can attest to the quality of Randolph’s sunglasses and the benefits of buying from a small company. Around 8-9 years ago, I was able to get some of the square Aviator frames from Gilt for around $60 after using some store credit I had won off a GQ contest. Last fall, the frame around the lens broke just under the right hinge. My wife, who was borrowing them at the time they broke, threw them away! I dug them out of the trash and sent in to the repair department with a short description and my contact info so they could charge me for repairs. I didn’t have my receipt because the email I used for the purchase was from my old job. About 2 weeks later, I got a call confirming receipt of the sunglasses and they were figuring out if they were covered under the lifetime warranty. Three weeks later I get an email saying that they were covered under warranty and the repair was fully covered. Two days later I got my glasses back, and they not only resoldered the frame, they replaced the lenses, nose pads, and ear stems. The only reason I don’t think the didn’t give me new glasses is the temples don’t have printing on them, and I thought my glasses used to have them and they wore off with wear. Either way, above and beyond what I would expect from a company.
