I picked up some new espadrilles from Soludos in off-white, and a pair of my favorite swim shorts from J.Crew in navy. I got the shorts via eBay (they were brand new but from a few seasons ago), but they have a nearly identical-looking offering on offer this season here.
I was in Southern California for a couple days last week, and wore the navy trunks with my linen multi-stripe Eidos shirt to eat fish tacos and hang out on the beach. The nice thing about the trunks is that they just look like normal shorts, so I felt dressed enough to be in public. I had a change of shorts in case I got wet, but didn’t end up needing them. That day I was wearing my new-ish boat shoes, but only because I hadn’t yet received my new Soludos.
