Proper Cloth is a well known custom shirt company which has expanded beyond just shirts into knitwear, outerwear, tees and even tailored clothing (the last of which I wrote about here).
I own several PC shirts and while they’ve disappointed me in some of the changes they’ve made to my favorite collar styles, on balance their fabric choice sets them apart.
One of the things that stops me from ordering from them 9 times out of 10 is their $15 shipping/handling fee. I know, I know, it’s more than fair given the outrageous logistics at play (a shirt using fabric I choose made to my unique specifications in Asia and shipped two-day, arriving on my doorstep within 2 weeks).
But an $85 Oxford shirt sounds great; a $100 one is still really good but I have to sit and think that purchase through for a few minutes; and now that PC collects sales tax suddenly I’m paying $110. For some of the most appealing fabrics that start at more like $125, suddenly you’re talking $160+.
Anyway, all that is to say, this weekend is one of the few times per year they waive their normal $15 fee until the end of Sunday, July 4th at midnight Eastern time. No code required. Come to think of it, this may be the only time per year they do this.
So, this is your chance! Use my link to get $20 off if you’ve never ordered before. And I’ll get a $20 store credit too (win-win!).
I have a blue cotton-linen Oxford cloth shirt that’s a few years old, which has frayed in some spots and the sleeves of which are a little short on me now. I think I’ll reorder that shirt with this promotion because it’s one of my all time favorites. If that sounds interesting to you, here is a link to the fabric and below a couple photos. I made it with the following design choices:
- Soft Roma Cutaway
- Soft long round cuff
- French placket
- No back pleats
Happy Fourth of July weekend!
