Eidos is long-dead. Long live Eidos.
One of the most enduring designs the brand created was the Lupo polo—a new take on an old style of one-piece-collar polo shirt. Creative director Antonio Ciongoli took inspiration from a Loro Piana polo shirt and a shirt worn by Marcello Mastroianni in a classic Italian movie, and created something genius: the Lupo polo (named after a street important to him from his father’s hometown). The design was so great that people still look for them, 6 years after he left Eidos.
Besides occasionally popping up on eBay in random sizes from different seasons, there are actually a few options for similar shirts you can buy new today.
So while you can’t buy an Eidos Lupo new, you can get awfully close with these retailers:
Luxire (Luxire is an online MTM company with a ton of different customization options. This shirt showcases a one-piece hidden-button collar-and-placket design, which you could apply to any shirt. Their “long flower collar” has a similar vibe though it’s not a one-piece collar-and-band like the Lupo was).

Luca Avitabile “Friday Polo”—This is kind of a strange one. In 2017 Simon Crompton introduced this polo, which so closely resembled the Eidos Lupo that I thought that’s what it was in the first pic I saw of it. If I recall correctly, Ciongoli reached out to Simon expressing dismay at the similarities, and it hasn’t been offered since.
However, here’s a link to one on LA’s site, live today (albeit short-sleeve, it appears). But you can’t get to that product from any other page on his site that I can find. So perhaps this model is only available offline? Or maybe you can have one made via MTO/MTM? I have no idea, but here it is.
These are the makers I’m aware of as of today. If you know of any that have the same or similar design, let me know in the comments!
By the way, here’s a link to one of the Loro Piana shirts Antonio referenced, for sale on eBay. Here’s a photo of Marcello Mastroianni from Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow in the polo shirt.
